Lawn & Garden About our Lawn & Garden Programs The Union County Cooperative Extension Center is designed and developed to aid clientele with their consumer/urban horticulture educational needs. The Union County Extension Center has a full-time Horticulture Agent to answer questions and to offer programming in all aspects of lawns and gardens. The Master Gardener Volunteer Program is a major educational emphasis of our consumer/urban horticulture programming with over 35 active Master Gardener volunteers. As a result of these dedicated volunteers, many different programs and services to the county are provided. They include speaking to civic groups, organizing and developing school learning centers and programs, conducting garden and beautification programs, providing office support, and working with 4-H youth.
