What’s the Perfect Summer Opportunity for Teens?
Are you looking for an opportunity that will keep your teenager busy during the summer? Union County 4-H has the answer to your question through the Counselors-in-Training (CIT) program.
The Counselors-in-Training program is a competitive, service learning opportunity designed for teens, 14 years of age or older, who want to further develop their leadership, citizenship, and communication skills as well as gain experience in planning and implementing activities for young children. CITs must be interested in working with younger children.
The CIT program is an exciting experience Union County 4-H Youth Development Program is pleased to introduce to the area teenagers. The program is ultimately about discovering what you are capable of, finding your inner leader, and creating a lasting experience.
There is a minimal cost of $50 to participate in the program to help reduce cost of training materials, activities, and uniform.
For more information, RSVP by March 15 to attend the informational session on March 21 at 6 p.m. to learn more about it. It’s located at the Union County Agricultural Center in Monroe. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 704-283-3735.
