Pesticide Disposal

In partnership with Union County Solid Waste and Union County Cooperative Extension, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services will offer Pesticide Disposal as part of the Union County Household Hazardous Waste collection day. The event will be April 28, 9 am to 2 pm, at the Church Street Parking Lot at the corner of Charlotte Avenue and Church Street in downtown Monroe.
 
Farmers, Homeowners, Golf Courses, Landscapers, and others can dispose of any pesticide (insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, etc) that are in original containers and clearly labeled at no charge. Persons with large volumes, containers larger than5 gallons or unlabeled containers MUST register with Cooperative Extension beforehand.
