Collapse ▲In a departure from their regular 3rd Thursday Monthly Educational meeting, the Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers invite you to bring your children to the Teaching Garden on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10 a.m., for a program for kids age 6 and older. The program is free and will be held in the Teaching Garden at the Ag Center at 3230 Presson Rd, Monroe, 28112. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Topic will be “Pollinators! Predators! Imposters!”, presented by Extension Master Gardener volunteer of Union County, Annie Howell.
Annie is involved with the Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Union County in several projects, but her major focus is heading up the three annual plant sales hosted by the group. We just had the Spring Plant Sale on April 28 and it was one of the most successful ever. The Fall Bulb Sale is held each year in October and the February Tree & Fruit Sale is held in late February. Annie also is passionate about insects & enjoys conducting educational programs with children, so this program will be a treat for those who participate. RSVP is requested by calling the Extension Master Gardener℠ Growline and leaving a message at 704-283-3822.
