STEM Bytes Camp

4-H students participating in the 2018 STEM Bytes Camp.

Welcome, 2019! Every year, we set goals and seek out new opportunities. So why not set a new goal to find out more about 4-H and participate in some of our many activities?

4-H is a youth development program that focuses on building and enhancing life skills for youth between the ages of 5 to 19 years old. In Union County, we offer many different opportunities to enhance those skills including our presentations and public speaking competition, project records which document a 4-H’ers specific project area for 12 months; N.C. 4-H Congress, Electric Congress, Citizenship Focus, artistic expression contests, summer camps, teen council, and many others.

In addition to the different programs and activities offered by Union County 4-H, youth and their families may serve as volunteers for the organization. We are always looking for new volunteers to assist in our programs and events. Our volunteer network is composed of many leaders, business owners, educators and professionals in the county interested in the purpose to “make the best better” for the 4-H youth.

Here are a few ways that you can get involved with 4-H today: start a 4-H club, serve as a guest speaker, assist with next year’s 4-H Expo, serve as a judge for the county’s public speaking competition event, or volunteer for our summer camp program.

If you or your youth are interested in participating with 4-H this year, feel free to contact the local 4-H office at 704.283.3735. Thank you and Happy New Year!
