New This Fall: 4-H Mad Scientists SPIN Club

— Written By

Mad Scientists FlyerThere’s a new virtual club starting in Union County 4-H for cloverbuds ages 5-7! Youth will enjoy becoming mad scientists in this special interest or SPIN club that will focus on practicing scientific concepts with fun science experiments and activities. A main part of the 4-H program is providing young people with opportunities to master skills and grow in independence and this club can help youth do just that. There are not many clubs in Union County catering to 4-Hers in the cloverbud age group, so this club is perfect to introduce youth ages 5-7 to the 4-H program and give them the chance to learn in a hands-on and educational way.

There is no charge to join this club and youth who join will receive material kits with some of the materials needed to do the activities. Other materials needed for the activities will be things that could be found around the house. Registration for this club is now open on Eventbrite and 4-H Online. Families will need to sign-up their youth on both sites in order to participate.

Each meeting will take place on Fridays at 3 p.m. where youth will participate in science activities with the group virtually via Zoom. Dates for the clubs are listed below.
