Camden County Cooperative Extension is proud to introduce Angie Brickhouse as the newest member of their staff. Angie will be serving as Camden’s 4-H & Youth Development Agent. In this role, she will oversee the Camden County 4-H program which offers 4-H Clubs; School Enrichment; Teen Leadership Programs; At-Risk Youth Programming; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Programming; 4-H Camps and much more.

While Angie, a Salisbury NC native, is new to Cooperative Extension she is no stranger to youth education, having served over 17 years as a NC Public School system teacher. Directly before joining the Camden team, she was the STEM and Career Academy teacher for Chowan Middle School. Holding degrees in Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State and Teaching from Lenoir Rhyne University, Angie is well versed in both formal and informal education.

Austin Brown, Camden County Extension Director, stated “I am excited to have Angie join our Camden County Extension team in this role. I am confident that her skills set will position the Camden County 4-H program for growth and positive impacts for Camden youth.”

In regards to her new position, Angie states “Working with kids has always been my passion. I love watching them get excited when they learn something new. I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity!”
