Would you like to sell your meat locally?

Do you like to buy your meat locally sourced?

Do you like to buy meat in bulk?

If you are interested in buying or selling your meat locally sourced or in bulk, check out MeatSuite. No matter if you are a consumer looking to find the freshest meat source; or, a farmer looking for different avenues to reach consumers, MeatSuite is a win-win for all. MeatSuite is an online directory where consumers can search for local meat for sale. Consumers can purchase  the meat in bulk quantities (quarters, halves, and wholes) directly from the farm to the consumer. The website shows you the location, species and what types of practices are used on the farm. Consumers then contact the farm that suits them best for purchasing.

Farms can create profiles on the MeatSuite website, all that is required on the profiles are contact information and highlighting features of their farm. Products and product information and pricing should be posted on the farm’s profile as well. A farm’s profile expires one year after its approval prompting the farmer via email and requiring a login and update.

It is a great platform to sell your locally raised meat. If you are a consumer wanting to buy bulk amounts of meat to stock your freezer it is a great platform for you! Local farms that are looking to expand their meat selling platform, this would be a great benefit to you. MeatSuite is a free website to use to market your meat. NC State partnered with NC Farm Links to make this website available to the public. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Skyler Murray at (828) 652-8104.
