Join classroom and nonformal educators as we explore activities in the Project Learning Tree K-8 Curriculum Guide! Every participant will leave the workshop with the activity guide containing 96 activities, provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. CEU renewal credits are available. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the EE Certification Program. Please bring a bag lunch and dress to be comfortable indoors and out.

Participants will learn about the materials through direct engagement in the PLT activities throughout the workshop, as well gaining confidence and skills for using outdoor learning environments through exploration of the museum's outdoor learning environment. Please make a personal commitment to attend to ensure there are enough materials and space for everyone, and cancel in a timely manner if your plans change.

Correlations: The K-8 Activity Guide includes 96 activities correlated to the NC Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards, as well as high school Biology and Earth & Environmental Sciences. Description: According to Yellow Ribbon, "Every year 1 in 5 teens seriously considers suicide and youth will most often seek help from their peers." Union County 4-H's teens are interested in spreading awareness of this cause and educating their fellow youth about it through a 4K race/walk. The race will take place on October 27. The check-in time begins at 8 AM. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:15 AM. The race will start at 8:30 AM. 

Union County 4-H is a youth development program for children between the ages of 5 to 19 years old. The program focus on learning by doing and making the best better.

A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Yellow Ribbon Project.
