In collaboration with North Carolina Cooperative Extension and the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), we will be holding a training for Early Childhood Educators to connect our young children to foods, plants, and natural sciences!
There will be training activities, speakers in agriculture and food, and participants may go home with wonderful door prizes. The training will be on Saturday, April 29th, from 9 AM to noon at no cost!
The training will be held at the Union County Simpson Event Center off Highway 74 in Monroe. We invite our early childcare workers and teachers, Smart Start technical assistance members, and any organizations collaborating with our early childhood centers to support this initiative. To register, visit the registration page or contact our county extension office to help. If you have additional questions, please contact Emma Hirschyat erhirsch@ncsu.edu.
We look forward to the community supporting the growing minds of our youngest for our training!
