Food Service Managers, don’t miss your chance to register for the Safe Plates for Food Managers Course in June! This course helps to meet the requirement in North Carolina of having at least one certified food protection manager in a food establishment, per the 2017 FDA Food Code.

This interactive course is filled with hands-on activities and case studies to help understand best safety practices regarding personal hygiene, preventing cross-contamination of foods, and handling allergens. Once the course is completed, participants will take an ANSI-approved exam for Food Protection Manager Certification that is accepted throughout the United States for up to five years. The course will be from June 5th – 7th, from 9 AM to 1 PM each day, with the exam on June 8th at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Union County Center in the Agricultural Center. The cost of the course is $150 which includes your class booklet, practice exams, and the final examination. The registration deadline has been extended until Thursday, June 1st!
