Union County Extension is thrilled to welcome our four new Extension Master Food Volunteers (EMFVs) to the team! The EMFV program—offered in partnership with NC State Extension—equips dedicated community members with training in food, nutrition, and safety so they can support local education efforts. From leading cooking demonstrations and assisting with nutrition outreach, to engaging youth and supporting food pantry education, our volunteers play a vital role in expanding Extension’s reach and promoting healthier eating in Union County.
If you're interested in becoming an EMFV, be on the lookout for Spring EMFV Training Sessions, where you'll build skills to address food insecurity and support community wellness.
Welcome aboard—we’re grateful for your commitment and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!
