Union County 4-H Virtual Summer Fun Program
Looking for something your child can enjoy this summer at home? Try signing up for 4-H Youth Development Foundation’s Virtual Summer Fun Program. 4-H Youth Development is an informal, practical, learn-by-doing educational program open to all youth. Summer Fun consists of a series of educational activities designed to make the most of summer vacation by encouraging youth to learn with interactive FUN activities!
We are offering several online and offline summer camps to youth between the ages of 5-14 including robotics, cooking, nature exploring, and science experiments. These self-guided camps will include video elements and hands-on activities. Union County 4-H will provide material kits for the camps so youth can participate in all the activities at home. Summer Fun is open to youth regardless of prior 4-H participation.
NEW: This year we are using Eventbrite to register youth to participate in the camps. You can view descriptions and instructions on the event site now, register, and pay for your child’s spot in the camp. We hope this will be a stream-line process for parents to complete the necessary form in one place. Families can also purchase a $10 Summer Fun T-Shirt for their camper(s) on Eventbrite.
Registration opens on April 27 and will close on June 8. Registration will be accepted upon receipt of fees and child enrollment in 4-H Online. Telephone registration will not be accepted. All fees are non-refundable unless a camp is filled or canceled.
Parents must enroll or re-enroll their youth in 4-HOnline in order to complete the registration under the 2020 4-H Summer Fun Program club. Please note that 4-H age is determined as of January 1, 2020. Note: If current 4-H families would like to use 4-H scholarship bucks towards summer camp costs, please contact the 4-H office for further instructions.
