As part of the required training for Master Gardener℠ volunteers, the Extension Gardener spring series of classes begins on February 11. The Extension Gardener classes are open to anyone, but if you are interested in joining the Union County Extension Master Gardener℠ program of Union County, these are required classes. These classes are offered at 6–8 p.m. on Tuesday evenings and repeated on Wednesday mornings, 10 a.m.–noon and are held at the office during February and March. The Extension Gardener series of seven classes are fee-based and pre-registration and payment are required.

Core training continues in the fall for those who want to become Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers with classes held on Wednesdays 10 a.m.–3 p.m. beginning on August 19 and continuing through November 18. Applications and payment for the Core training are due by May 1.
