Joining 4-H is simple—and it opens the door to a world of opportunities for your child to learn, grow, and connect with others.

4-H Teens Celebrating

Step 1: Learn What 4-H Offers

4-H is for youth ages 5–18, and there’s something for every interest! Whether your child is into animals, arts, STEM, public speaking, gardening, or leadership, 4-H has a project, club, or camp that will fit. Parents often love that 4-H combines fun with life skills like responsibility, confidence, and teamwork.

Step 2: Enroll Online

All members register through 4-HOnline, our secure enrollment system.

  • Visit 4honline.com

  • Create a family profile and add each child as a member

  • Choose Union County as your county of participation

  • Select your club (or “Independent Member” if you’re not yet connected to a club)

This ensures your child is officially enrolled and is able to participate in all programs.

Step 3: Pick a Club or Program

Union County offers a wide variety of clubs, from community clubs to special-interest groups like horse clubs, Teen Council, creative arts, and STEM. If you’re not sure which club is the right fit, our 4-H staff can help connect your child based on their age and interests.

Step 4: Get Involved!

Once registered, your child can:

  • Attend club meetings and events

  • Sign up for summer camps and special programs

  • Work on projects at home or with a group

  • Participate in county, district, and state opportunities

Parents are always welcome to get involved too—volunteering is a great way to support your child and the wider 4-H community.
