We train our Master Gardener℠ volunteers in the basics of horticulture and in return they offer educational programming for youth and adults in the community.
First up on the schedule are two Information Sessions – January 26 at 6 p.m. with a repeat on January 27 at 10 a.m. The Information Sessions will be held online via Zoom. Each Informational Session is the same and is the perfect opportunity to see if this volunteer program would be a good fit for you.
As part of the required training for Extension Master Gardener volunteers, the Extension Gardener Spring Classes begin on February 9. The Extension Gardener classes are open to anyone, but if you are interested in joining the Extension Master Gardener℠ program of Union County, these are required classes
These classes are offered at 6–8 p.m. on Tuesday evenings and are repeated on Wednesday mornings, 10 a.m.–noon. These classes will also be held online via Zoom. The Extension Gardener series of seven classes is fee-based and pre-registration and payment is required.
Core training continues in the fall for those who want to become certified Master Gardener volunteers. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. beginning on August 18 and continuing through November 10. Application and payment for the Core training is due by April 16.
