August and September provided several opportunities for celebration and involvement in Union County. N.C. Cooperative Extension in Union County partnered with the community in many events, including honoring the relationship between farmers and businesses in Union County at the Farm-City Banquet and partaking in the United Way Day of Caring at the Wingate Community Garden. With the mission of sharing our natural and cultural heritage, the Union County Heritage Festival was the perfect start to Fall. We are also excited to share our newest addition to N.C. Cooperative Extension in Union County, Urban Forester Keith O'Herrin. Be sure to check out our website and social media accounts to learn how you can get involved in your community and with the Union County program.
