Tis the season for Pumpkins and what better way to celebrate than by baking? Pumpkin Purée can be used in lots of tasty dishes. You can use it to make soup, pies, muffins, cakes, pancakes, puddings, and so much more! Not to mention, it is so easy to make pumpkin puree from scratch to use for all those pumpkin recipes. It’s best to start with a small baking pumpkin, also known as a sugar pumpkin or pie pumpkin.
Let's talk ingredients. You only need two for this purée.- Small Baking Pumpkin
- 1/2 cup Water
- Cut pumpkin in half
- Carve out inside seeds
- Cut each pumpkin half into four pieces
- Put water on baking pan and place pumpkin slices on pan
- Bake 425°F for 50 minutes
- Remove pumpkin flesh from skin
- Place pumpkin flesh in blender and blend
