STEM programs through Union County 4-H help to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in life. STEM project areas include computer science, environmental science, robotics, agri-science, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and veterinary science.

Forestry, Wildlife, & Environmental Education 4-H Club

The Forestry, Wildlife, & Environmental Education 4-H Club is available for any child between the ages of 8 to 18 years old with an interest in forestry, wildlife, and their environment. This hands-on 4-H club meets once a month in Monroe with various topics including habitats, birds, trees, sustainable shelters for animals, and so much more.

The Swarm 4-H Beekeeping Club

The Swarm 4-H Beekeeping Club is a seasonal 4-H club for children between the ages of 5 to 18 years old with an interest in beekeeping. This club walks young people through the steps of how to properly care for bees as well as themselves and others.

Phoenix 4-H Club is a homeschool club for the children (ages 5-18) focused on various topics each month that allows the club members to gain decision making, public speaking, and mastery skills. This club is an extension of their homeschool co-op that meets during their homeschool year. 

The Cool Kids 4-H Coding Club

The Cool Kids 4-H Coding Club is open to young people ages 8 to 14 who are interested in coding and robotics using LEGO robots (WeDo, Spike Prime & Essential). The participants will learn basic coding and programming concepts to prepare them for the 4-H STEM Expo where they will display their skills to share with their family and friends. This 4-H club meets once a month from August to June.
