Sign Up for Safe Plates for Food Managers in June!
Coming in June is our Safe Plate for Food Managers class! Be sure to sign up soon for this four-day course from June 1st – 4th. This 3-day course and 1-day examination is designed to help managers in foodservice to learn and understand the best food safety practices through case studies and hands-on activities. Upon completion of the course, participants can sit for the National Food Safety Manager examination that fulfills the requirement by North Carolina, of having at least one supervisor, certified as a food protection manager. The deadline to sign up is May 18th. The program’s date is tentative and will be based on the re-opening date of the extension office.
