During these times, working together and supporting our communities in Union County is of the utmost importance. One organization that works to serve Union County is the Extension & Community Association (ECA). ECA is an organization that focuses on collaborating with Cooperative Extension to provide community
North Carolina Extension and Community Association Logoservice and extend extension education in health, wellness, and family and consumer science to Union County. Last year, our Union County ECA created many cloth masks for health organizations as well as our own extension office to extend safety from COVID-19 around the county. Although the reach has been limited this year, ECA members continue to provide volunteerism in the best way they can. Are you interested in joining ECA to participate in service, learn important skills through extension to extend to the community, and create long lasting friendships with other members? If so please contact Marcus McFarland, Liaison Agent for Union County ECA at (704) 283-3830 for more information on membership.
