heart health, how to take care of your heart, american heart month, north carolina, February is all about love! Something you should show some love to is…your HEART! February is American Heart Month, an observance dedicated to the heart and keeping it healthy. Your heart is a very important part of the body that helps to transfer blood throughout your entire system. We can show our love and appreciation for our heart in many ways. This can include eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. It also can include getting some physical activity in by playing sports, or even taking time to relax and do some self-care.

This month we’re doing all of these things as well as wearing our RED for “National Wear Red Day” this Friday. So how about you show your heart some love by taking care of yourself and wearing your red tomorrow! You can find more information on American Heart Month and information on the heart at the CDC website.
