Collapse ▲N.C. Cooperative Extension, Union County’s 4-H Youth Development Program invites Union County Youth to participate in a short-term club that will engage, empower, and develop them as leaders during the 2024 election season. Kids Voting North Carolina, a program of North Carolina 4-H, is a non-partisan youth civic engagement program that allows youth under 18 to vote on the same ballot as adults in each election. We will provide opportunities this fall for youth to learn about government, explore the voting process, research candidates, and figure out how to be an engaged citizen. The final event will be the mock elections for Union County youth!
Thanks to the efforts of the Union County Teen Council, Union County youth will get the chance to practice voting and learn about civic engagement through interactive activities and mock elections on November 1st at the Union County Agricultural Center!
Participants in the short-term club will meet bi-weekly on Zoom on the following dates:
- August 29th at 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
