Chicken wings in air fryer

Air Fryer

Everyone that has an air fryer, raves about the delicious food that it produces. These appliances are very popular with Union County residents. If you haven’t tried one, maybe you are curious about how they work.

Air fryers are not fryers in the same way that deep fryers are. Deep fryers require lots of oil, air fryers can be used with no oil, or a little spritz, if you choose to use some. Eliminating heavy oils makes air frying a healthier choice. It is also quicker than using the oven. Air fryers have electrical elements that quickly heat the air. The hot air then circulates around and through the food. The hot air cooks the food quickly, therefore, crispy foods, like chicken or fries get browned but the inside stays moist and delicious.

Vegetable & Fruit Spiralizer

Spiralizing is a fun way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Children also love to spiralize fruits and vegetables. There are both handheld spiralizers and spiralizers with hand cranks. Spiralizers offer options that include different blades for a variety of noodle styles, such as thin spaghetti-like strands or flat, wide ribbons, and more.

Vegetables and fruits are naturally low in calories, sugar, carbs, and fats. In addition to all of the vitamins and minerals that vegetable and fruit varieties contain, some vegetables, such as zucchini are high in water content and help detox the body, as well as, keep it hydrated. Eating spiralized vegetable noodles are a great way to have a nutritious meal that is satisfying, yet leaves you feeling light and energized.

Here are a few fruits and vegetables that can be spiralized are: apples, pears, butternut squash, zucchini, carrot, cabbage, and beets.
