Warm weather brings a bounty of produce, including juicy and delicious berries! 

Blueberries, Raspberries and Blackberries in a Pile. Right now, is the time when many of our favorite small berry fruits are ripening and ready to pick and eat. Strawberries are near the end of their season here in North Carolina, but blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries are on the way!

Many of your favorite berries are a great source of fiber and Vitamin C! They also contain many wonderful nutrients and antioxidants to keep your body running well and fight damage of cells. They’re also a wonderful treat for heart health due to those wonderful anti-oxidants! Enjoy them washed by themselves, in a smoothie, made into homemade jams or jellies, or in a delicious salad. There are many wonderful places you can purchase a variety of berries. You can check out the Union County Farmers Market, local grocery stores, or any of our great You-Pick farms for these wonderful sweet treats. Be sure to grab a basket or container of your favorite berries for the summer!
